Design Engineer

Job Description

Tinloof is hiring a Design Engineer to join us remotely.

You'll sit between creative direction and backend, design in Figma or code, and own the delivery of outstanding interfaces for client or internal products, shopping experiences, and editorial websites.

Requirements

- At least 5 years of experience across web design and frontend development.

- Strong instinct for layout, typography, color, and motion.

- Fluency in HTML and CSS, and JavaScript.

- Solid understanding of the browser's rendering pipeline and performance.

- Ability to stay up to date with browser API updates.

- Care about accessibility following ARIA guidelines.

- Drive to push beyond the brief, raise the bar on every project, and treat the work as a portfolio piece rather than a ticket to close.

Logistics

Location: Fully remote.

Working hours: UTC overlap required.

Contract type: Freelance contract.

Project management: No PMs. Team members are responsible for managing their own tasks, communicating directly with clients, and providing weekly updates.

Start date: As soon as possible.
