Role Description
This is a contract hybrid role for a Graphic Designer (with an art director's sensibility) located in Seattle, WA, with flexibility for remote work. As a Graphic Designer at Deux Vingt, you'll shape the visual language of travel and hospitality brands across primarily digital channels—bringing a discerning eye to imagery, photography, and typography. This role pairs strong creative instinct with hands-on execution: curating and treating imagery, building elegant typographic systems, and producing brand-aligned assets that elevate every touchpoint. You'll be supporting email channel by designing the supporting visuals—hero images, primary tiles, and campaign graphics (no coding required)—and collaborate directly with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure every piece is brand-aligned, impactful, and fit for purpose in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. As we continue to expand the work we support, this role offers room to grow into broader scope over time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Bringing an art director's eye to image selection, curation, and photographic direction across campaigns.
- Designing supporting visuals for email marketing—hero images, primary tiles, and campaign graphics.
- Building refined typographic systems and layouts that carry brand voice across digital touchpoints.
- Creating web and digital design assets for landing pages, campaign microsites, brochures, emails, and more.
- Developing scalable visual systems across digital—and print where needed—touchpoints.
- Treating, sequencing, and pairing imagery to tell cohesive travel and hospitality stories.
- Collaborating with creative directors, strategists, content teams, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive outcomes.
- Providing design direction to the broader creative team when needed.
- Creating presentation-ready visuals and pitch materials for client projects.
- Staying on top of design trends, tools, and techniques to inspire forward-thinking solutions.
- Presenting design work to internal teams and clients with clarity and confidence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 6+ years of professional experience in brand, editorial, or art direction, ideally within an agency or creative studio—hospitality, travel, or lifestyle experience a strong plus.
- Strong portfolio showcasing image-led design, typography, and digital/email campaign work.
- Exceptional eye for image selection, photography, and visual curation.
- Strong command of typography, composition, color, and layout.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Figma.
- Familiarity with email design best practices—creating supporting imagery such as heroes and tiles (no HTML/coding required).
- Understanding of responsive digital design principles; print design skills welcome.
- Ability to balance conceptual thinking with precise execution.
- Experience collaborating directly with clients and stakeholders, translating feedback into brand-aligned creative solutions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A genuine interest in travel, hospitality, and lifestyle storytelling.
Position Type & Compensation
This is a contract position based in Seattle, WA, with flexibility for remote work. As we continue to grow the work we support, there may be opportunities for extended or expanded engagement over time.
Compensation: $45–$60/hour
