Crafting a strong personal brand is essential for ANY creative professional. 👉 It's not just about how you present your work; it's about how you present yourself. Forming a strong personal brand will 10x your chances to get your dream job. 🚀

So in this module, we'll dive into the core elements that form the foundation of a compelling personal brand, helping you to articulate your unique design philosophy and develop a consistent visual identity.

Lesson 01

Deep Dive into Crafting your Brand

Start by defining what your brand stands for. 👉 Think about your strengths, passions, and the unique approach you bring to your work. Ask yourself what differentiates you from others in your field. Is it your innovative design approach, your attention to sustainability, or perhaps your expertise in a specific design niche? 🌟

Maybe you aren't there yet as you are just starting out.💡Think who you want to be, do a deep dive on yourself, but also which designers you admire and why. Think about your target audience too. You need to have a clearer understanding and build these foundations first.

Lesson 02

Understanding & Articulating Your Design Ethos

Your design philosophy is a critical part of your brand. It influences how you approach projects and solve design problems. Reflect on past projects and identify common themes or approaches that define your work.

Lesson 03

Creating an Inspiration Board

Create an inspiration board that visually represents the ideas and values you want your brand to embody. 📌 Collect images, color schemes, typography, and any designs that resonate with your brand vision. This board will serve as a visual reference and guide as you develop your brand. Start with Research, by using Pinterest, Savee, MyMind, Designspiration, Behance, Dribbble or your Instagram feed. Each of these allow you to create boards to gather inspiration. ✨

What you should typically look for is not just inspiration of a new logo but think widely - your social media presence, your portfolio, your profile image and profile banners, project thumbnails, print collateral or anything that you can think of that will elevate you as a design professional. ✨

⚠️ Even look at things like communication - how do you write captions (1st vs 3rd person, serious or funny...), how you want to engage with your audience and what you will share with them (ie live content?) - Don't forget to think about what makes you unique and how can you stand out from the crowd. 💥
